About this course

A private session built around what you actually need to learn, rather than a fixed syllabus. Customised courses suit both beginners taking a first structured step and experienced practitioners refining a specific technique.

The programme is agreed in advance, and products and models are arranged for the session so the full four hours go on practice rather than setup.

How it works

• Tell us the techniques or treatment areas you want to cover.
• We agree the programme, and confirm the products and models needed.
• You train one-to-one with the instructor for four hours.
• The instructor gives direct critique on your technique throughout the session.

What you will be able to do

On completion, participants should be able to practise safely in the areas defined in their customised programme. Because the content is set with you beforehand, the outcomes are scoped to the techniques you choose rather than a fixed curriculum.

The instructor provides critique and support throughout, to sharpen technique, build new skills, and give you confidence in achieving patient satisfaction.

Dentists are not permitted to take this training under current regulations.

Your instructor

• Dr Mario Trelles

  Plastic surgeon

  MD and PhD, general surgeon and plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon, holding an American Board Diploma for Lasers in Aesthetic Surgery. He is president of the European Society for Laser Aesthetic Surgery, the Spanish Laser Society and the European Laser Association, and a board member of the Laser Aesthetic Society of Cosmetic Surgeons in the United States.

  Academically, he is a professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome for postgraduate diplomas in lasers in dermatology, a visiting professor in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Masaryk University, Brno, and director of the master's programme on lasers in medicine at the College of Physicians, Barcelona.

  He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed articles along with books and textbook chapters, and is international editor of the Dermatological Surgery Journal in the United States.
