About this course

The European Aesthetic Programme sets out the fundamentals required to work safely with the aesthetic lasers, non-surgical systems and energy-based devices on the market today. Over three days it combines detailed theoretical content with structured practical workshops, so participants leave understanding diagnosis, mechanism of action, device selection and how to combine machines and products against a patient's expectations.

The programme draws on more than 50 years of research by Dr Mario Trelles, who has tested lasers, published and collaborated on over 500 scientific articles, and lectured at universities and congresses worldwide. This three-day course condenses that body of work for medical professionals.

What you will be able to do

The course introduces a consistent methodology for assessing patients through correct diagnosis and selection of treatment. By the end you will be able to:

• Explain the mechanism of action of each device class and its effect on tissue.
• Judge treatment results against set criteria, with a patient-oriented approach.
• Recognise the safety concerns of each modality and manage complications.
• Read technical specifications, research and case evidence critically.
• Apply what you have learned in controlled, live patient treatment.
• Assess the treatment options and devices on the market and select between them.

Who this course is for

General practitioners, specialists, general surgeons, ENT consultants, dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Nurses and beauty therapists are welcome on the technician tier, provided they hold a current laser licence.

It is each participant's responsibility to check the current PQR and scope-of-practice rules of their own health authority before enrolling.

Accreditation and assessment

This is the first course of its kind in Europe and the Middle East region. Its aesthetic laser modules are endorsed by the British Medical Laser Association and the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine, and the course is certified by the DHA and the KHDA.
